Re: You might be a winter rider if...

Just got to San Francisco from Hawaii 85+ and sunny there and SF is in the 60's and sunny. Come get some bitches. But I ride most of the winter as long as I can get out of my garage. I'll be back soon enough to ride some more. Until then Panama is in my sight by the new year. But then its on up to.new York and the cold...

    That's super hot!
Even as a big fan of Fender Eliminators, I think I would want a bit more rear fender on that bike.

Chris, pulling your bike out of the garage, taking a pic, and putting it back in the garage, doesn't mean you're a winter rider...

Outside of work one day... Ended up having to ride home with an actual accumulation on the ground too.

... if you drag your feet on the asphalt to gauge "above or below" freezing.
... when you only need about a nickel-sized clear spot on your visor to be able to ride straight...
... When you look at people in their coats, hats and cages as if their a cowering dog with it's tail tucked between it's legs.

    One Mississippi...

That right there is the reason I now put a full size front fender back on during the winter.
Supermoto fenders look cool, but SUCK.

Just bought a full size front fender for my DRZ for that very reason.

...if the gate guard looks at you like you're crazy, then proceeds to tell you which lane has the most black ice in it before proceeding.
Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...
Retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting!
Waiting will only leaves us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

Is it just me or does anybody else get more Ornery when the weather gets crappy...

Splitting lanes at 90mph during a hail storm/tornado warning...
Passing people on a double yellow when its snowing...
Sliding the rear as much as possible whenever its below 30...

It's not because I'm cold/scared, I think its because my risk of getting pulled over is less. (sorry officer, I couldn't see the double yellow with the snow on the road)

Maybe I'm trying to show drivers that there is enough traction available, as long as they put your iphone down long enough to pay attention?

I dunno if it's the season or the fact that I'm riding the Hurricane a lot recently, but I just wanna be a complete dick on the road nowadays. Snow or not. I'm almost to the point of riding that fugger like a sumo. One of these days I'll pull my first wheelie on it (yut uh)...and the probably pop the suspension. I'm REALLY looking at getting those tires studded so I can ride to work past all the SUV's with 4wd who are too scared/stupid to drive like they should

Re: You might be a winter rider if...

For some weird reason, I was the fastest person on I70 AND E470 last night.
(I was riding in case you have doubts)

Unfortunately, I dressed for SNOW, and not the rain/snow that we got, so I did end up with a few wet spots. But I was still toasty warm.

The highlight of my commute was passing a LandRover LR3 and shaking my head at him for going 55mph on the interstate.

    SCARY SNOW!!!
