    1800 Miles In 2 days

Chicago to Phoenix in 2 days. Made it in yesterday and finally got settled in to my hotel today. It was 65 and mostly sunny today Nice change of pace from the Wisconsin and Illinois winters I've been in the last couple years.

Drove the Volvo out. Come spring I'll be making the same trip on the bike. It was -14 in parts of Iowa, not sure my riding gear is rated for those temps.

-14 with a 75 mph wind chill, no thanks. My personal (have fun) riding low temp is 40. Anything below that isn't fun, unless it's doing the Elephant Run.
And thats only for a few hours, not 2 days.

Personally my fun factor ends about 25 degrees, I can stand down to 0 with my current (non-electric) gear. But bike tires get squirrelly around those temps...

Join the club homie. Did that trip twice in a week. I've driven from CO to MD and back, most of the time with a bike in tow, 8 times.
