All I can do is laugh at this thread and where it could be headed...

As much as I'm an "eye for an eye" type guy, and as much as feel that theives, for the most part, deserve to be drug out into the street and shot, this guy pretty much took it over the edge. If it's true he actually had removed the transmission, likely because he knew the vehicle was likely to get repossed as he obviously wasn't paying the bill, then he basically planned this from the start.

Real piece of work that doesn't deserve to ever be pardoned, or paroled for that matter.

Isn't it still against the law to shoot someone outside of your house for stealing your property? I understand the "make my day" law and that is protecting your safety, but didn't think it applied to property outside of your house, so I don't get the argument here!!!

Shooting someone just because of property sounds foolish to me and sounds like the prison time he got was warranted.

The "Make My Day Better" law extends your rights beyond your house and into your car or business.

It still only covers taking action when your life is at risk. Someone stealing your car does not warrant shooting the person unless your life or the life of another person is at risk.

I think the firing squad would be a good resolution to this guy...
