Honda EU2000 or EU3000. It is actually quiet enough you can hold a conversation without shouting. I have heard (or should I say not heard) some Yamahas that are also very quiet
2000w +. Is enough to run warmers plus a fan or something else you might need. Warmers generally pull about 1200 watts for the pair.
I have a Honeywell 2000w that I got at Sam's club for under $500. It's small and compact and pretty quiet. Costco also has one for a similar price but I don't remember the brand? They are nice because they don't take up much room and you can pick them up and move them yourself.
Of course there is always the Honda generator but it's over $1K.

Any power outlets in HPR? Dont have a generator right now, dont need warmers till I get faster. Was running mid intermediate pace last season, will need to learn the track and improve technique first.
There's a 4KW at Sams Club for $289. Just saw it the other day.

You can rent a carport with power at HPR - http://highplainsraceway.com/rv-reservations.html Prices listed are for full weekend. Glenn can chime in on what the daily rate is for a trackday.
Im a Honda Gen dealer. Most guys buying for this application are getting the EU2000.

Get a Kill-a-watt and see what your particular warmers pull. I checked my set of warmers and they are on the low end at around 900W. I gambled on a cheap-o, relatively quiet 2-stroke 1000W/1200W max generator and will see how it works out on my warmers. Probably a 2000W generator is going to suffice for any set of warmers but you might be able to get by with much less capacity. And in the end, having a Kill-a-watt is just a good investment.
