i am about 5'7" tall and about 190lbs (though, hopefully 180-185 before R2SL)... pretty much the typical fire plug build.

You can borrow my extra set. They may be a tad big though

You can try my Tecknic's on size 48, they would fit the round part but might length might be a problem.
You will have to bathe though!
i bathe every friday so that shouldnt be an issue. as soon as they come off on friday i'll take a shower
as long as they fit the round parts they should be fine. you're a little taller than me but once i'm folded up on the bike they shouldn't be too bad.
thanks Dave

I doubt anybody has a size "dork" for you to use.
They definately won't match your bike though
they're better than the leather i dont have... since my suit doesnt zip together i need something else. my dad has an aerostitch but it doesnt have knee pucks. i'll use em if you're willing to loan em

Knee pucks

You gotta hang way off that bitch to drag your knee before the engine case hits!
BTW Jeff, don't be dragging your engine cases. If you split one, you will be sweeping a lot!
i am going to work very deligently to NOT hit the cylinders on the ground even one time!!
and the Ohlins i ordered yesterday should give me a little more height on the back end to keep the cylinders further away

I'm pretty sure that the boxer cup guys had little pucks they put on the heads to prevent major damage. Maybe you can find some of those?
Or just get a real bike... :P
See, look, I know I'm homophobic, but not about gay guys. They don't bother me at all. It's straight guys who don't know their gay... they fuck my shit right up
The price of that Ohlins would have gotten you a darn nice set of leathers.
they are available (they are carbon fiber with titanium pucks at the contact point) but will not work with the stock valve covers. so in order to use them i would need to get new valve covers (something like $500) then the protectors (which are even more expensive).Originally Posted by scott72673";p="198460
i wouldnt mind having a set on my bike though... and a nice set of leathers... but i already have a real bike; you guys are just jealous cause my bike helps me pick up the women!!

The same women that are attracted to guys driving late 80's Volvo station wagons :P

Jeff, I have no complaints about the bike, I rode one last year and couldn't believe how well it handled. I ride a 748 most of the time, so I'm not comparing it to any handling slouch.
Go to newenough.com and order yourself a set of leathers. You'll never regret doing it as all it takes is one get off for them to totally prove their value.
As for the head covers, I would think a little ingenuity could go a long way to creating your own that WOULD work with the stock covers. Just a thought.

Jeff,
JEEEEZUS... go to Ebay and pick up a set of leathers for $100. Haven't I raised you kids right??

I think you will need engine pucks way before you need knee pucks and I have a (well ventilated) set of leathers you could borrow that have knee pucks on them they are a size 50 though . I am 6'3" 200lbs and they were big on me
