From the pic, it looks like a cruiser, but a rider is a rider and I hope they pull though.
There's no place like home............
Update from Gazette article this morning:
A 47-year-old man has died after a motorcycle he was riding crashed in north Colorado Springs.
Rick Russo died Tuesday afternoon at a Colorado Springs hospital after crashing earlier in the day near the intersection of Lexington and Bordeaux drives, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
He was going north on Lexington shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday when an SUV turned left off of Bordeaux in front of him. Russo, who was not wearing a helmet, swerved and crashed.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital but died about six hours later.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The time of the crash has been corrected in this story.
RIP, Mr. Russo.

I like mountains because they make me feel small.
Very tragic yes but another story where a fellow biker could have lived had he only worn a helmet. Hard for me to have sympathy for what happened to him when he was the one that chose not to wear a helmet. Im sure ill get bashed for my thinking here but it is what it is
Dress for the slide, NOT the ride
Without the medical report, there's no way to know that. He might have broken his femur and bled to death from a sliced femoral artery. He might have ruptured his aorta in the impact. There are a number of things that could have led to his death that a helmet wouldn't have done anything for. But we do know one thing. If an inattentive and careless driver hadn't turned in from of him, he would be alive. Let's put the blame where it belongs.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

RIP Rider.
Everyone should be required to ride a motorcycle for 90 days before getting a full privileged driving license.

RIP
On a side note, saw a dude dump his Honda bike this morning off of Galley Rd. Looked like a noob move to me. Cold tires and turned onto Galley from the neighborhood then got on the gas and out she came. He was alright though. Picked it up, moved out of traffic then rode off. Anyone on here?
