I'm thinkin of getting a 250 for IMI so I can have cheap track days and work on fundamentals. I'm curious, what are people buying for that track other than ninja 250s (or supermotos).
I'd keep the supermoto, but if I get a something like a ninja, my girlfriend would actually be able to ride it (WR is too tall). Plus, I kind of want to work on things with the sport bike feel.

yea yea i know, guys drag fuckin shoulder on sumos. Definitely love riding them. but my girl can't ride them, and I'm lookin for a mini sport bike to whip around a track for super cheap. Iono might end up getting one and ditching it after this season, but I'm just curious what kind of other bikes guys are getting for something like IMI.
I'll definitely be getting another sumo in the future though.
The R6 will stay in the garage until I'm 50, broken, and happy that I can still walk downstairs and see the first bike I ever owned. Until then, I'll rag the shit out of it

The only bikes people really buy that are IMI specific are the race tards. All the other bikes people bring out are street bikes of all types and track/race bikes that people want to get cheap easy track time. The Ninjas have up 'till now fallen into the street bike category as no one really had a prepped one.
Oh and if you think 50 is broken down and finished you got another thing coming.

I used to even take the 51 out there and it was a hoot. No matter what bike you take, you'll have fun and it's great practice.
Just stopped by fey myers and they have left over 2010 ninja 250s for around 3200 hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Just left IMI and a ninja 250 was the perfect bike today, for me anyways
I have a mini-moto that is great on this track. Just kisses the rev limiter in 5th on the back straight.

Just have not had time.. I travel a lot now for work, so it's been hard for me to get to the track on the weekends. I am going to either step it up and get to the track more this year or I'll get rid of my bikes... Kind of a tipping point...
