Wet & rainy here at Tooele. Checa is on pole for the first race tomorrow. Lots of people out here. Good times. Pics wont load...try to later.

I was at the end of the autograph line in the pouring rain. before I got to the table where the riders were sitting, most of the SBK guys left. When they left, most of the crowd disappeared. I talked to Roger Lee Hayden, Josh Hayes and Melissa Paris. Then Max Biaggi came out, and I ended up standing there in front of him while he signed posters. His guy handed my one and I said, looking behind me, "Since I'm the only one here, can I have one for my son?" The guy gave me another, and I stood waiting to see if Max would look up, shake my hand, or say ciao. So I just waited, me, the Roman Emperor and his guy. After a bit, I moved on and tried to talk to Troy Corser. I couldn't understand a word he said! Still very cool to talk to the AMA guys, they are always so friendly.

We decided to skip the Dierks Bentley concert. Just too cold and rainy. I don't know if they are going to be able to do the fireworks either.

The guys leaving the track on their bikes didn't look like they where having a lot of fun!

If you go next year be sure to go to the media gig at the state capitol, if they still do that. I went last year and had an opportunity to talk at length with both Corser and Biaggi while they were waiting for the media circus to get rolling...
