How does the rear tire fall off? see it at 2:04.

Awesome race today. Those twins are pretty strong but Yamaha does it again.

Single sided swingarm, the wheel failed, the hub stayed on the bike and the outer rim came off.

And, all I can offer is (in the style of Kenny Rogers):

I was watching the Eurosport feed and they said the wheel shattered, it didn't just fall off.

Yeah, it was clear that the hub and spokes had separated from the rim. Must have been a weird feeling to do a 180 while still vertical like that.

I watched is in frame by frame and it was pretty clear that the spokes were broken near the hub of the wheel.

Not knowing about this thread, I just put a big picture of the incident in the pictures section. God would I love to see the rider's eyes, I wish he had a clear visor!

Here it is again so you don't have to search for it:

Yeah, too funny re: the slap. It lit a fire under Melandri's ass though didn't it?

    Re: WSBK

Sounds like Biaggi was just off and in a foul mood all weekend.

I hadn't heard about the sissy fight until now but I got a couple of chuckles out of this article.
