The primary purpose of this position is to develop database-driven applications for Web sites that follow Cyber Security protocols.
Duties
• Develop, implement, and maintain database applications
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues
• Incorporate cyber security and other government requirements into database designs, scan completed applications for vulnerabilities and remediate
• Use ColdFusion and other scripting languages to design and develop Web-based interfaces for databases
• Ability to develop CFC (ColdFusion Components) - build functions into reusable objects
• Experience converting SQL queries into stored procedures
• Collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements, develop formal specifications, and model data relationships and processes
• Full development lifecycle – development through QA testing
• Work with developer to reverse-engineer existing application to create specification

Minimum Requirements
The Senior Developer position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, other related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum 7 or more years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years designing, developing, maintaining, and Web-enabling databases.
Additional Required:
- Thorough knowledge of Cold Fusion (8 and 9), SQL, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, XML, and Web development tools and techniques
- A thorough understanding of SQL, SQL Server 08 and SQL administrator skills
- Demonstrated experience developing applications and working on relational database management software and systems
- Ability to analyze requirements and rapidly model and prototype applications.
- Solid application design, coding, testing, maintenance and debugging skills
- Good project management and excellent customer service skills
Preferred:
- Experience with FLEX, PHP or Drupal, and writing Web services
- Experience with Cold Fusions Server Administrator
- Experience working with scientific/technical or financial data
