    Decals and bikes...Trashy?

I'm am playing with the possibility of putting a decal on my bike, however I dont want it to look trashy. I have seen bikes with decals and I had mixed reactions (like, "Thats kinda cool" to "Ugghh, thats just wrong"). I want to get other people's opinion. What do you think?

What kind of decal are we talking about? Like a full bike wrap from a latin american mobile phone company? Or something more like an A* sticker? lol

My bike is technically wrapped in a sticker, and it always gets mixed reactions. I love it, but I'll remove it someday. There's a fresh paint job under it!

Like Ricky said... if it works for you, enjoy it and do what you like.

I had the seat cowl wrapped this past winter on my Speed Triple. I love it... I'm sure others think it looks stupid, but who cares. My bike, my decisions.

Stickers bad. If you put them on your bike then you are a bad person.

agreed..... doesnt stop me from shaking my head at things that look like they are actually being held together with decals, bumper stickers, etc....

i think if you are looking for a "public opinion" the key is moderation, IMO

for instance the triple above.... i dont think it matches color wise at all, but i respect the implication and that there isnt 20 of them all over the bike. but in the end, its yours, our opinion only counts if you trailer your bikes to the shows you enter them in... lol

Some people like their bikes to look good for everyone else. I like my bike to look good to other people, but it's more important what it looks like to me.

Check out my creation (even though it's Honda's )

Just for the record, there's no such thing as a "gixxer." Suzuki makes a bike called the GSXR, but no company makes a "gixxer."

Hey Rybo, did you know I've been listening to a lot of Steve Reich, Philip Glass and John Adams lately? You might really like their...style.

    duly noted...

for anyone that was wondering what this "gixxer" I was referring to was, I meant GSXR. Sorry for any confusion.

I love it when a bike has decals that don't match the equipment installed. One bike I bought last year had Dunlop stickers even though Dunlop didn't make a tire that fit it. It also had Mikuni stickers even though Honda used Keihin
