I'm gonna be coming from the northeast, way east, if anyone wants to ride into Moco with myself and probably Adam(sir mix-a-lot-of-bacon).

"When you on the track, you have to be enjoying the moment, you have to be flowing, "Be water, My Friend". You try to be the fastest, and it seems a little beet estupid, 20 riders making the same way, lap by lap, but this simple thing: is very complicated." #99
Hope the weather holds....

Thanks for the specific on MoCo. Here the best site for weather satelites.

First of all, thats just rude. Its an opinion, treat it as such, not the gospel.
Second, I'm perfectly fine riding at a lower pace than some of the other rides I've been on. Gives me a chance to get used to the tweaks I've done to my suspension. If you've got some kind of personal grudge against me from all of this, I welcome you to voice it in person on saturday, otherwise I'll treat this simply as water under the bridge and assume we're cool. Sound fair?

Wow. You said something stupid that has the potential to scare off the people this ride is meant to serve. No personal grudge.
Sure. Water under the bridge.
Every last one of us knows what it's like when we first began to ride. We had no idea what to expect and all those so called "real riders" were all very intimidating. Well after riding for as long as I have, I can say without doubt that we all never stop learning with these machines.
We are always finding out how to do something better and weather it's you first season or 31st it doesn't matter. Trust me these "Real Riders" are going to screw up just as easily as any of the rest of us, including me because thats how we learn to become better riders.
Wow! A lot has been discussed while I was in Moab. Most of the veterans on CSC have handled a lot of the questions from the Noobs (or, newbs) so I don't have to. However, I will answer these:
Sure thing. I've invited a couple of cruiser buddies, too, but I doubt they'll show.
Yes. :P
We won't be breaking the speed limit for the most part. This ride is designed around new riders, new to canyons and new to group rides. This ride is about learning and comfort level. On the route back north (for those of us going north) we can make a judgement call on the weather and break into groups based on route or speed level.
No PPIR? Maybe you and Kris can head out a few minutes ahead and take pictures if we have enough sweepers.
And I will be on my SV as is fitting.
I will be printing out the route to bring to MoCo and can post a link to the route on Gmaps.
Will do.
Okay, so I just called the Mexcian restaurant Sully recommended and they don't have room for a group our size. Do any of you southies know somewhere easy to get to that has a lot of nearby options? For example a street or corner that has casual dining, fast food, etc. all within a reasonable distance to each other? I'm looking at Google maps for restaurants down that way and it's showing me downtown CoSprings is the best option.
What about North Academy and Briargate?
Jason - That sucks.. they have a huge covered patio.. what gives boo

Apparently it's graduation season and they already have a number or larger parties booked, so no more large parties and not enough room for this group. Academy and Briargate seem to have a few restaurants within a block or two of each other. So, for now, we'll plan on that unless someone else knows something I don't.
And for those of you who won't go back and read the first post:

Like Jim said, there are a few fast food places around there (Monument)... McD's, Arby's and Wendy's, I believe. If you're interested in those..

And there is food at PPIR if you want to ride the extra few miles down the slab. Oh, and there is that parade lap thing you can do, too.
