You need one with a hold harmless clause i believe to make it valid, i think i ran into this when i bought my bike way back when......

Here is a basic one:

DMV has one that acts as a temp tag for someone to drive/ride away without worrying about a no plate ticket.
They are free for the taking, up here it is a pink form. I think you can download and print them off the CO DMV site.

The only important things are:

Clearly identify the vehicle, buyer, and mileage of vehicle
Make sure the bill of sale says "sold as is" and " all sales final"

Make 2 copies, and sign both.
