I don't believe it's anyone from this site, since they were from out-of-state (Cali to be exact).

    No:

    1. BadR6 would have been on a dirt road halfway into the chase
    2. He could have taken that corner blindfolded without wrecking

I'm just guessing, but I'll say 1 felony, maybe 2, a few misdemeanors, and about 24+ points, not to mention about $10k or more in hospital bills and court costs, fines, fees, etc.

We rode by and saw the white bike laying on it's side on the northbound offramp to S. Acadamy. Wondered if anybody got hurt. Now I know.

I was slabbing back with a friend taking the quick way home from Bishops/Colorodo City around that time. I was just ahead of it....

going northbound on I-25. The pair's speed exceeded over 100 mph.....

if the speed limit is 55 to 75 depending on the stretch of I25 you are on, + 2 bikes would = 110 to 150. isnt that over 100mph for the two of them for just doing the speed limit????? lol

Re: High Speed Chase Ends in Crash

yeah and traffic was running above the 75 mph posted. Probably 90 as an average based on how fast folks were passing us.....

That means the math is 90 * 2 = 180 for the pair.

Great, Yet another black eye for all sportbike riders. Stunts like this (running from the cops) only fuel the fire and hatred towards all of us.

    Idiots....

Ironic, they crashed just as the troopers decided to call off the chase.

The trooper was running 130 and the pair was still pulling away. The officer shut it down because they were starting to encounter heavier traffic.

Drove by just before the Firetrucks got there. Didn't see the woman, but there was a black guy laying on his stomach, helmet off, one shoe off, right next to a custom painted 07+ GSX-R 6/750 (I think, didn't get a good glance at the exhaust).
He was in handcuffs so I assumed he was relatively ok since the paramedics weren't working on him.
Good luck to em both, they're gonna need it!

Used to, they were sold a few years back.

State patrol does have aircraft though. Aircraft with very very powerful cameras.

They should invest in drones (predator, global hawk, raven, falcon, you name it). They are used to incredible effectiveness over here. You don't have to pilot a fully skilled pilot, and the fuel consumption is much less. Although, the whole spying on Americans thing frightens the hell out of me.

In the late 90s, I recall they monitored from the air. I think back then it was CSP. Unfortunately, they used those along I-25 when there was an AMA race weekend at PPIR. Of course, we were one of the "lucky" ones and there was bike after bike lined up on the side of the I. Needless to say, they were well prepared - in the air and on the ground. I thought that was messed up as I have never experienced getting clocked in a car from the air. I'd be surprised if this happens to the Rocky Mountain Porsche Club at HPR later this month. I truly think there is a tendency to target streetbikes. After reading this article, I can understand why.

Agreed. The comments on the Gazette were pretty brutal towards sportbikers in general. Be prepared for loony cagers ready to take it out on us...

Two jerks just HAD to ruin it for us all (again).

They need to outsource to Ft. Carson and have Blackhawks scare the piss out of anyone trying to run.
