A new guy showed up on the VFR board. Sounds like he's just getting used to the bike and not that aggressive. Going to head over and meet the guy around noon for about a 2hr ride. Probably involve Stove Prairie, maybe part of Poudre or Rist.

I'd avoid Rist this early in the season especially if someone is just getting used to a bike.

I ride every week all year long and have hit Rist several times this spring already. Just ride for conditions.

The sand at the top of Rist has got even worse. We went south on Stove Prairie and it was fairly clear. Had a great ride and the only close call was a deer that tried to take the guy out on Horsetooth. The thing ran down like a linebacker and just missed him.
