    Italian Ride

This idea was tossed around in another thread and figured I would start something. I like to ride durring the week (traffic is less) so I propose anyday May 23-26.

I'm in Springs so we can do a meet up at Rudy's BBQ on 24 and head out from there, probably up to Deckers. We can meet up with anyone coming from up north somewere. We can head back to springs and goto a little italian restaurant called Dat's Italian in Old COS for lunch or head somewere else... as previously stated Olive Garden doensn't count!

    Thoughts/ideas?

Oh sure... Pick the week I'm in DC...

The following weekend could work though.

Looks like there's a vote for Dat's Italian!

[For future reference, the best I can come up with in the Springs are: Fratelli's, Dat's Italian, Mollica's, Biaggi's (not bad for a chain), Panino's, and Paravicini's.

Also a few places in Boulder at all types of price points: Il Pastaio, Laudisio, Alba, Arugula Bar, Radda Trattoria, Trattoria on Pearl, Pasta Jay's, Carelli's, Antica Roma, and Bacaro Venetian.]

I'll throw this out. How about memorial day weekend?

I can do the 23rd, or sometime sooner, but I have surgery on the 24th and I'll be on my back (literally) for at least 2 weeks afterward. But, I am on leave from May 12th through June 12th.

    Re: Italian Ride

I would prefer we do this on a weekend as well. If we make it a southern route there's always Merlino's Belvedere Restaurant in Canon City as well. I haven't been there in years so I don't know if it's still really good or not.

If we do a more centrally-located or north ride than there might be a cool little bistro-type place not far off the beaten path from one of those canyon rides.

Let's pick a non-MRA weekend as well, just in case any of those folks want to join in. Here's the MRA schedule:

    Re: Italian Ride

Memorial Day is usually not a great time to ride. Lots of RVs and other tourists on the road, and more police patrolling. Plus that's the WSBK weekend at Miller which I'm seriously giving consideration to this year.

They are all encompassing eurotrash, including a few "well-used" RC51's.

Is Paravicinis still open? They had the best Italian in town! They were on Colorado and 29th-ish.

Those dates work for me as well. As does 5/22. I guess I can take a vacation day if Friday the 13th works for the group.

Salsa, I ride British and Italian as well. Dave just wouldn't understand...
