    Does the FUBAR-ness stop at Denver's city limits? Or are you just saying that Denver's as FUBAR'ed as the rest of the country?

    Sorry to the lady but you have the ability to plea for a bond and be bonded out. She is yet only accused of the crime, not yet convicted. You are innocent till proven guilty and have almost a right to be not stuck in jail.

    sounds like the DA just didnt do their job.... nothing screams flight risk like

    Vera-Nolasco was arrested while trying to catch a flight to Mexico. Denver police said she used her sister's identification to buy the ticket and board the plane.

    I happen to disagree with this statement completely. While this is the way the system should work for AMERICAN citizens, she is an illegal and was caught trying to flee the country, and those same rules and rights should not apply to her. Being an illegal, ICE should have detained her until she was sentenced for the crime, or, until she stood trial and had the charges dismissed.....

    Hopefully she and those who helped her in up bending tacos in jail. She hit and killed someone and then fled. If she did this to someone in my family and got out of jail, someone in her family would missing her soon.
