All-day boot on and off bike?

Not to be confused with the "Do it all boot" thread.

I need recommendations for a boot I cannot swap out when I get to work or the movies/mall/lunch/dinner.

I have a pair of size 45 A* SMX-2's that fit good. I've been eyeing the A* Harlem boot.

    Whatcha got?

Just get some good old shit-kickers. Look presentable, you'll never wear through the leather, just as protective as something like you pictured.

I was looking into getting new sneakers soon, and those are bad ass. Might have to get myself a pair in black.

That's exactly why I started this thread. I need some proper motorcycle boots that I can wear all day with a good amount of standing and walking. I have wide feet and high instep also so big volume is important. As I stated the SMX-2's I have fit good but I can't walk or stand in them for very long.

I'm sure the current threadjack regarding sneakers(which are badass) will come to a conclusion at some point and people will start making legitimate suggestions.

On a serious note, I wear my Comp 5 MX boots upwards of 12 hours a day sometimes when I'm out on the sumo, and they don't really start bothering me until about 10 hours, so I'm not really understanding.

Maybe you should just man up.

Did you get the SMX-2 too small? I can wear those things all day. They hurt before on the top until I loosened up that stupid strap. If they haven't been broken in (with water) you should look into that too.

    May be I should.

I can wear my current boots for 467 miles at a time(my current max distance in a day), and a good hour before and a couple hours after that ride. What I haven't tried is sit-standing at my electronic lab bench for some arbitrary amount of time, then walking a mile each way to lunch, and then doing some more sit-standing at a variety of locations before riding home. Footpegs, hard floor, concrete lunch hike, hard floor, footpegs.

No, they fit perfectly! Love then! I just want something a little less motecentric looking if I can find it. I have to interact with some bigwigs and have meetings often with people that just don't understand.

I see, you don't want to get caught wearing space boots. I just wear sneakers when I ride to school, and yes I am sacrificing safety for style. But if you have the money and the motivation then look for something that gives you both (if that even exists). I guess it just wasn't clear in the original post exactly what it was you were looking for.

I guess that begs the question of why you can't swap them at work. Can't you just stash some nice work shoes in your desk?

Man I get get anything past you guys. Alrighty then, I'll wear skids because they're the most comfy. I can stash chucks in the corner of the lab, and if I ever get hired on fulltime from this lucky internship I got, I might get a desk. Until then, I'll just ask the internet and not the people I like to ride motorcycles with.

I wasn't annoyed at the jack at all...

I wore Red Wings on my other bike but the shifter peg on this one gives me a killer bruise for some reason. Maybe just change the shifter peg to a Harley branded complete with skulls.

Again, I'm not annoyed by any of this but I'm often misunderstood when I'm just trying to laugh with the interwebz people...

    Comfortable, stylish, and probably safe.
