So, I heard it is illegal to lane share/lane split here in Colorado. Is that true? If so, does it mean you're the tits if you do it? How do you know when to do it and how do you do it properly? Is there an etiquette to follow?

You begin your riding career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
this guy posted an ad on CL...he will meet you and personally teach you how to lane share...he uses the "yut-ugh" method
Whenever I'm lane splitting I try using my feet to prop the bike up by resting them on the doors, windows and mirrors of the cars I'm passing. Also, if I see a mirror that is close to my bar ends, I tend to either smash it with my ungloved hand or kick it with my sandled foot. People should know better than to get in the way of us legit lane-splitters!
