    Late Lunch?

Headed down to Cherry Creek. Was looking to get sushi in Denver if anyone wants to join me for lunch. Send me a text 303-551-5806 and I don't know many places there so if you have any suggestions that would be nice.

Won't be checking this thread as I'm leaving in a few, so phone contact only.

Think I'll be going to Sushi Den or their adjacent market on Pearl St.

If you're going to the Creek, here are a few sushi joints: Hapa on 2nd and Detroit http://hapasushi.com/location/cherry-creek/ or Sushi Tazu on 3rd and Fillmore (but close in 10 mins) http://www.sushitazu.com/

+1 Imho Hapa has a name & reputation that's better than their sushi deserves most of the time.

There's one on E. Arapahoe diagonally across from Fay, I forget the name, but I'd say it's Ok without being great.

Do they have sushi trains here? Where the sushi goes around the table on a belt, with the chefs in the center and you grab whatever you want.

That was a fad when I was in Kyoto, but it's pretty much passed, and it wasn't ever as good as made-for-you fresh sushi...which I now crave @11:30pm....Beh...

It was popular when I was in Australia. I don't know how they did it in Kyoto, but they made it fresh in Aus (by fresh I mean they made it in front of you). Then they would put it on the belts and you would pick it up when it came to you... if someone didn't take it first lol. Either way it was pretty fun (keep in mind I was a kid back then lol).

I just read what AOK303 wrote. That makes sense, some could have been left out there for a few hours. I haven't been to Aus for awhile so I wouldn't know if they're even still doing it. I may be Asian but I can't tell the difference between fresh and non fresh sushi anyway, I just liked the trains.

Banzai Sushi is my favorite in town, near Leetsdale and Monaco. They have 100 rolls! Hapa can be hit or miss.
