I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

Chris, glad you and Casey turned up ok. But I'm gonna miss seeing your bike out at the base since we're one of the few sportbikes out here!

Interested in hearing what your insurance says.

It was a beauty Chris. But the good thing is that you are okay, and will ride again.

Glad you are ok. Sounds like from the other thread that there is a little sand just south of deckers - I'll have to watch for that.

Sand and/or oil from a post on another forum:

Something to be aware of on Highway 126 (Pine Valley Road). Coming up from Buffalo Creek (could be even further south towards Deckers, I don't know) towards 285, there are occasional large spills of what seems to be diesel fuel or the like in the roadway.

It's on the north-bound side in most of the left-handers. They're worse as you get closer to Pine.

That's what coal creek was like last year. It took weeks for that shit to get scrubbed off.

got off the phone with the insurance company.. they're goin to cover it. after I have a bit more mobility, will take it up to bmw and have them do an assesment of it and let the insurance company go from there.. I'll (more than likely) end back up with the same model, just different year.. I <3 that bike .. the traction control is what held me up as long as it DID.

That's fortunate man. Mine won't cover anything and to add to that I found out this morning they won't even cover for the towing lol. They only cover towing for mechanical failure, out of fuel, flat tire etc.

I'm not gonna lie, I died a little inside having to watch Chris drop such a beautiful bike. I'm glad that you are physically ok for the most part and at least the insurance company isn't nailing you. I heard about the trooper though. Good luck with everything man, and let me know if you need anything.
