    OMFG A DECISION?!?!?!?!?

so I am selling my f4i
and i want to get a different bike.
I want something that is mild to insure (obviously they never are but more mild than a R1/zx10/cbr1k), somewhere in the $4500 range, and something with a bit more get up and go.

now before i get a million lectures on how my f4i has more power than i need, i understand that, but also understand i'm like 250lbs and i ride 2up a lot.

    suggestions?
oh and im not interested in suzuki's. (just to narrow it down)

    thanks!
agus sa lá sin beidh fir bás a lorg agus ní ghabhfaidh sí a fháil, déanfaidh siad bás agus beidh fonn chun báis teitheadh ó iad

You might really like a Vtwin.

Otherwise I would say a 06-07 GSXR 750. Great handling and great power.

Insurance on the VFR is pretty reasonable and it's got a lot more grunt down low than the CBR, although the peak horsepower is similar. Two-up it's not bad, but a Blackbird might be better for that, though I'm not sure how the insurance is. Randall could say.

I'm a big guy too (6'7" and 260), and just got back from Idaho Springs via Squaw pass with a passenger. I'm not sure there's a more perfect bike on the planet than an RC51 for this...

Go with State Farm. They insure based on cc's and not the bike's purpose.

I pay $140.00 a year for liability insurance and $52.00 in taxes on my 97 Blackbird. I'm also old and haven't been caught in 3 years.

Two up is very comfortable, both ways...

this makes me laugh...obviously you didn't even read his thread. NO ZOOKS...

I'm with the majority go w/ the VFR - looks sick, SSW, V-four power, honda reliability, cheaper to insure and they can rip in the canyons.

Why not a buell? Not sure what their prices are like, but that big rumbly v-twin might also have some added benefits for your second-up... :P

Apparently the "famous" HD rumble doesn't apply to the Skirtster motors (which is what the Buells have).

    I couldn't agree more
My insurance on my 07 VFR800 is $152/yr with full coverage and $500 deductibles. You should be able to find an early 6th gen (02-05) in your price range.

I had an 02 VFR and I liked it a lot. Very maneuverable in the canyons, awesome low end power, and it's super comfy. Oh, and it sounds like a beast.

    Re: OMFG A DECISION?!?!?!?!?

Got mad love for the RC-51 but im worried about insurance on a 20yr old like my self.
Im really tired of being terrified to have fun because of min coverage and my bike is my only ride.

What would you say out maneuvers the other, the VFR, Blackbird, or RC?

In your opinion list top to bottom (1...2...3)

    Thanks guys
