    Boulder MotorSports dyno results

The 1198SP was put on the dyno last weekend, and this is the graph.

I asked if it were corrected to sea level and they said no. That impressed me, but I still think there was a correction factor applied in there somewhere.

This is absolutely stock, except for throttle body synchronization done immediately before, and using 7-11 standard 91 octane fuel.

Cool! We'll have to hook up for another ride soon bro! Too bad you couldn't make Trailridge last weekend.

Perhaps, perhaps not. In reality, a dyno can be made to read damn near anything as far as the top number goes. What can't be easily altered (and is more important anyway) is the shape of the line itself. Not that yours doesn't look good, but I bet it would take a minimum investment in an aftermarket computer and more dyno time in order to tune out the sag between 4000 and 6000. That's the meat of your powerband and where that motor should spend a lot of it's time on the street, tuning it a bit would make the bike more rideable and you'll thank yourself.

Just my opinion, worth exactly what you paid to hear it (ie, nothing)

Plus, well, wouldn't it sound nice with some race Termignoni's on it?
