Remembering the Good Ol Days

I've been thinking about this a long time. A lot of forums have a women only or girls only section including this one. I honestly don't agree with it. I would rather be known as a great rider with out gender coming in to play and I think that is why the Girls Only section doesn't get used much. We ride, we all ride and it really doesn't matter what's between your legs as long as it's two wheels. I think we should remove the Girls Only section. What say you?

I'd say that it's been a part of the forum for a long time, and some stuff that is said in there pertains to just the women of the group. Just because it isn't as active as some of the other forums, doesn't mean it shouldn't be there. With that logic, might as well get rid of the Giving to Others and the Test Section.

Ahh, but it's not about usage. The Test sections and Giving to Others sections do not specifically call out women and neither does the FOG. I consider myself equal and anything I have to say can be said to the whole group, not just to women besides I don't think it's fair that we have our own section and you guys don't.

I think the women's section is a good thing, even though it might not get as much use as other forums. I understand what you're getting at BWF, but I think it's nice to have to have a place for women to ask the input of just the other women.

I also think that sometimes, especially as a newbie to a group, a woman tend to be more shy than guys, and I think the Women's Only forum is a good thing just for that reason, even it's just to fulfill that function once in a great while.

Concerning the "men only" sub forum - I don't think guys are complex or special enough to have their own dedicated forum. It would just degenerate into a porn fest anyway. We are simple creatures, with simple needs and desires. We'd end up just abusing it and causing much too much work for the admins...

GO was created specifically because there wasn't such a place on here, and the girls couldn't get together or talk amongst themselves without the leghumpers jumping in. It's really just a couple MB of disk space to keep it, so I think it's going to stay.
