    Re: My turn. FRIDAY Ride

Swift, sorry for missing the thread, I was a bit caught up with the trip...

Darth, OH SNAP! Glad to see you're alright. Sorry about the bike, and tops to you for being so open about the whole thing, discussing it, and such forth. Tops to you! Hope you get the bike fixed up quick!

Grim, well done on NOT running over Darth... lol

And damn, what is it with the newbs chastising the geezers in this hea thread! I say this under the classification of newb myself...

Zach, you know I use my bar sliders on turns. That's just how I roll. Dragging elbow is for vag's.

No pics or video. We were up near Wellington Lake and found ourselves in a clearing that was still pretty saturated from the rain. Needless to say, my rear tire found the right groove and my front tire found the left groove. I was unsuccessful in recovery and ended up doing a nice tuck and roll maneuver off the bike. When I got up, all I heard was Brad laughing

The DRZ was tired and low on fuel and wanted a nap.

It's okay, everybody crashes. Do we need to talk about what you did wrong? Maybe analyze the situation a little so you can avoid it in the future?

Why on earth did none of the other guys have a camera with them?

Some of you new riders are asking basic questions that are covered chapter by chapter in the book I posted. Your life literally depends on being competent in these skills. Read it, practice the skills alone in the canyons, and read it again. And then go take a track school.
