I'm cool either way...no butt-hurt here if you're not comfortable with my participation. Let me know either way and I'll find out what the wife thinks. =)

    Re: My turn. FRIDAY Ride

Have been riding for a day or two but new to CSC so dont have much "street cred" yet. Ran CCS back in Iowa and shredded my share of GP-A's. Have done one ride with bornwildnfree, mdub and driverdave. Feels kinda lame applying to ride with the big boys, and yet I get it. Had my share of rides ruined by some squid who thought he could ride.
So, can I come out and play?

    Re: My turn. FRIDAY Ride

    Cornfed,
This is gonna sound lame but how much track experience do you have? Any time in the dirt?

The reason I ask is because the canyon conditions are always changing out here. Riders that have miles in colorado conditions have adapted to this. As I recall we had a new member from out of state on an r1 not long ago that rode like he did from where he came from and it came back to bite him in the ass.

I'll give bwf a buzz and get her impressions on your riding style. The roads we intend to ride on Friday are not forgiving if you get it wrong.

As long as someone has ridden with you in the past thhat shows up and knows you won't get it over your head, I have no objection to you coming up.

The goal here is to make sure we don't have another incident like last Saturday. Feces occurs and that's understandable, but I'm not willing to accept target fixation or gravel as an excuse for someone eatting it. Those are avoidable factors in any ride and are pure bullshit excuses for inexperience or riding outside of your limits.

    Swift,

Sarcasm aside I understand and appreciate you protecting yourself and your crew from unsafe riders. Holler at BWF, if she approves, send me a message, if not no harm done and I wish you guys a great ride!

I dont work till 3pm so the way we went last weekend would be perfect given the weather holds out.. The forcast looks like rain all week, but it usually is decent in the am, or in town it is at least! Thanks for the invite Swift!

Not when you're trying to get Vellos to turn tricks on Colfax for 10 hours a day.
