I can't apologize enough to you guys. I wasn't trying to "keep up" or anything. Was just too hot into that turn and locked the rear up causing the wobbles. Recovered, but went wide in the turn as a result and hit the guard rail. Front end snapped off completely once we got it on the tow trailer, so it looks like GSXR forks inverted are in the future. Along with new front wheel, left peg, mirrors, and possibly gauge cluster and headlight.

Physically...right leg hurts from some minor rash and knee soreness, left ankle is slightly sore, and my friggin' chin is pretty damn sore, too. Helmet I think is shot, and jacket and gloves are ok. Boots are barely scratched. Gear definitely saved me from MUCH worse. Declined the ambulance ride and had the tow truck driver drop me and my busted-ass bike off at home.

Pictures will be up tomorrow. For now it's Ibuprofen and wine and nursing a very bruised ego.

Again, I'm very sorry to you guys... I hope the day wasn't totally ruined, though I can imagine the damper. =(

Dude, don't apologize, we're just glad you're ok. Shit happens and you learn from it. I didn't see what happened, all I know is what the guys explained to me and what I saw from the aftermath.

I managed to get pulled over for "following too close" when we crossed I70 over to 40. Which of course was bullshit but I got let off with a warning so whatever.

And to make it all fuckin gravy and potatoes, it rained on us as soon as we were about to cross through blackhawk.

I swear everything that could happen, pretty much did on this ride. Fuckin go me and my first awesome ride.
