    Racer in need

I know this should be in the wanted to buy area. However, since racers always seem to be on an accelerated time clock, i am looking for a 2000-2003 GSXR600 motor. The motor is for a fellow racer down here, Phil Brown, he competed with us at Pueblo in 2003. He lost the CCT this past weekend and the motor can not be saved. Let me know if you know of one for sale that is in good running condition *not your fleshy *

Uh, better check your stats. :P The 750 went FI in 98 I believe (still SRAD) but went to the new body style in 00. The 600 did not get the FI or new body style until 01.

Hoopty is correct, Bitchzyl! 750's popped the FI cherry early, but the 600's did not get it until 2001. This is a good thing, as the 600 FI system was more advanced than the early 750's, including things like per-cylinder tuning, redesigned throttle bodies, and better ECU programming.

Don't believe me, go on Ron Ayers and try to find injectors for a Y (2000) model 600.

Hoop...i thought that in 98 the GSXR750 went with some type of partial FI and in 99 went full FI???

Partial FI? I'm not sure what you're talking about there, but they did some major revisions to the FI in 99 to smooth out the power IIRC.
