    Ride: Saturday 7/23/11 - Bishop's Castle (earlier)

There is also a ride to Bishop's Castle leaving Denver. They'll be meeting at the Shell gas station at the end of Hwy 83 (aka Academy) and 115 at 10am.

This is a earlier ride and longer version. But if you over sleep, you can join theirs.

From Colorado Springs the total millage will be around 330-350 miles depending on where you live.

Coincidently the route looks like a shark jaw... or shroom.

After Bishop's we'll continue on to Salida and then have lunch at the Brown Boro in Fairplay. For those who have never been there, they have the best chicken green chili burritos in Fairplay, possibly in all of Colorado.

Continue on Hwy 285 to Hwy 126, turn right and make our way towards Deckers and home.

    Times
Canon city is the first city we'll hit and it gets HOT so we'll want to leave early.

    Meet @ 8am
Gas, Introductions, Map hand out, Pep talk.
    Leave @ 8:15

    Estimated Cost
    $35-40 for fuel and lunch.

    Estimated flight time
    (Including Lunch) 8 - 8.5 hours.

Plan on being back in Colorado Springs at around 4:30 or sooner.

Please reply here if you want to go or have questions. You can also reach me at 719-201-9383 if you are running late the morning of the ride.

Too much of a short notice to get interest - I'll host the extended version another time.

Link up with the other group heading there at 10am (see: http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forum...ad.php?t=41265 )
