Too practical and not enough gear buying for me to support this. But still, it just might work

Haha. I bought a Luggage locker tail bag for my R1 a few years ago. About large enough to fit a full face helmet and some extra side pouches. It was around $150 or $180 for the water proof version. a $20 duffel bag would have worked just as well

ok folks I called up a bunch of the hotels in Cortez and the cheapest one is the following

    tomahawk lodge
    728 South Broadway
    Cortez‎ CO‎ 81321-4009
    United States

    it's $55 a night which is good compared to everyone else's $99 a night.

Are those map links updated? Second one doesn't seem to be working...

Odd. On Android the second takes me to Google maps but asks for the start point and suggests 4 Corners Rd. in Kansas...

Re: Trip to Cortez Colorado 8/12/11

I'm getting a tail bag at Motogear. They are a new kind of tail bag that is hard sided and $50. Mary was very excited about the tail bag. I don't need a lot of luggage space. Just enough room for 2 shirts, 2 pair socks and toiletries and one charger for my cell phone. I pack light when I do these trips. As far as sharing the room, I have no problem sharing or getting my own...sleeping next to the bike would not be preferable, but hey, if I have to, I have to although, that would totally change how I pack. I do have a sleeping bag/mat/tent that fits on the bike. Can't wait!
