FYI CDOT was out chip sealing the road to Deckers today. Coming from Woodland Park they chip sealed about 3 miles south of Trout all the way to where the "fun part" of Deckers begins (the twisty parts).
Hopefully they're done since that road was re-paved about 5 or 6 years ago and is still in very good shape. Otherwise half the fun part of Deckers is going to be gone (the other fun half being Horse power hill).
Again? Didn't They do that area at the beginning of the riding season? It's so bad they had to put a sign up warning bikers.

They chip-sealed the wrong area last time... or last season was it? Either way they messed up so more construction and tax dollars yeeeey.
Clovis, are you talking about the part that had all the tar strips? I want to make sure this doesn't affect our Memorial Ride on the 20th. We're not going any further south than Deckers. Thanks...
If you are just runnin down to the flyshop place (normal stop), you are good. Chip seal is south of there.
OBTW flyshop guy has some BS paper signs taped to the posts in front of his shop saying it is parking for his shop only....being sort of pissy about it.
Cool, that's what I thought. It's probably the section that had all those crazy tar strips. As for the fly shop, most of us usually park in the motorcycle parking section. He's probably pissy about the parking spots right in front of his shop. Thanks for the heads-up though.
