There are and infinite of ways to see this "topic" from the outside. To me a real fool comments thinking they know everything about something that happened when they were not there. Why do people do that? Honestly. Im not saying that if someone gives me the "facts" about what happened I wont make a judgment but why the hell does everyone think they truly know how this conversation went between George and Performance (who I have sent 4 people to in the last 3 weeks to buy tires from) when they were not there listening to it all? Fact of the matter is that everyone is full of shit, no one is completely honest and the way a story is told is never how it happened.

Called this morning to check availability on stuff they had on their site...

Me: Hello, do you have Vesrah brake pads in stock?
Dick: No we don't, we'd have to order them.

Website is not the store, you can not expect them to have everything in the store. I see no problem here.

Me: Oh okay, I was looking to get something soon so...
Dick: They're in our Denver warehouse, is one day not soon enough?

You assumed it be weeks, you should of asked how long. But yeah his comment is a little Dick'ish here.

Me: Oh I didn't know that, that's fine. Your site says its $42.

You assumed he know what a 08 6R is. Maybe you meant 08 R6 for all he knows. I always say the year, make, and model. Assuming he even knows its a Kawasaki would be a bad assumption as he works in the store does not mean he rides.

Me: 2008 ZX6R.
Dick: Okay. (hold for 10 mins)

Me: Each? It's $80 for one single pad?

You told us stock your looking at $150...LOL So is $80 each ($160 that bad for the front!!!!) Almost sounds you were expecting them to be $20 each, in shock...but that is what it is.

Dick: No I didn't say each.
Me: So it's $80 for a set then?

Dick: It's not a set. Your bike has two calipers in the front right? You know what calipers are? It's $80 for each caliper.
Me: Yeah okay. Well your site still shows $42.

I think both parties had bad communications if this is really how it went down. However anyone that rides know one caliper is a set (we car not talking autos where a set is the front typically).

True he should not of talked down to you about what calipers are, but you are the one that seems confused and he is trying to clarify. Sounds like all he is doing although poorly.

Dick: Dude they're $80 per caliper, do you really neeeeed Vesrah for your bike? We keep (insert generic brand here) pads in stock and they're $60 each.
Me: I was told Vesrah were good and I wanted to try them.

To be honest he is right, do you really need them seeing as your confused about the price, you know factory ones as you admitted to are $150 so why would you think they be cheaper...I find it hard to believe you did not check the price online first at OTHER sites. If I see a tire for $150 everywhere and then see it for $100 I assume it might be a mistake (its up to the company to honor or not the price but mistakes happen and I will not assume that is the price and demand it to be sold at that price...commons ense goes a long ways).

Dick: Well for your bike Vesrah will be $180, while (generic brand) is $140 and we keep them in the store.
Me: Oh okay I'll have to think about it.

(Dick hangs up right as I finish the sentence.)

So you got to think about it, what more do you want him to do...of course I would hang up on you too. No more to say, don't know you don't need to say bye bye and kiss kiss....LOL

I have never had a problem at Performance Cycle...one of the few shops I can say that. But I deal in person...if it was really $42 on their site you go online and order them from their site...LOL I've done that with companies as I prefer to call and they say no its this...I say look its in my shopping cart and if they don't believe me I hang up and order it through the site...LOL

To be honest you will not probably notice...most street riders are AVERAGE riders anyhow...sorry if that hurts your feelings but that is the facts that I have seen.
