Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...
Retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting!
Waiting will only leaves us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

Be polite. Be professional. But be prepared to kill everyone you meet.

My son was trying to figure out what Mr Mock really wanted and get him handled in the quickest, most cost effective manor. There was some confusion on how many pads he wanted. We do stock the EBC brand and that was offered up as a solution. End of story. We do our best. Sorry you had such a bad experience George. I wish it wasnt so. Me and my wife and 2 kids bust our butt's 6 days a week at the store and many people do actually like us. Once again -I am really truly sorry, Don

Hey Donny many of us out here do like you guys and appreciate everything you and your family does for motorcycling in this area. I don't believe George's view represents the majority of the riders on this forum.

    Re: Dick @ Performance Cycle

    @PeopleWhoDon'tKnowMe

    1. You shouldn't judge me as a person until you actually meet and talk with me. It's simply ignorant to think that I was in any way being rude or over-demanding when I called Performance Cycle. I'm not at all a narcissistic person, and I think that people who are rude to others just doing their jobs are scum, I personally have worked in customer service so I'm nice to those who still do.

    2. Yes I make light of almost everything on the forum. It's an internet forum after all. So again unless you meet me then you shouldn't simply assume I'm a bad person, or a stupid person, or any kind of person because you can't know who I am via the internet.

    3. Sarcasm is my second language. If you don't understand it why would you even respond to it? It's not like it's directed at you to begin with. It's directed at people who know they're jokes, and if there was anyway a mix-up and they took it seriously I resolve that through PM.

    4. He said they were $80 each (which would mean $800 for a set). That right there is a retarded price. When he confirmed that they were $80 per caliper that was fine, I honestly wasn't crying about the price not being $42, the site didn't say specifically that it was for the front so I was already aware that it was going to be something different. I was just trying to figure out if we were looking at the same product. And since he did put out the option of EBC pads I said I was going to have to think about it because I wanted to do research in that brand, but he hung up on me instead of finishing the conversation properly. Talking down to me and acting like I'm stupid was another part that made me create this post. I had no influence on his rude behavior as an employee. Even if I did, that really shouldn't excuse it. I've had to put on wide smiles to the biggest assholes I've seen when I was working customer service...

    5. So Devaclis, Xtremjeepn, and Keyser Soze you should not have assumed that just because I have a large forum personality that I would be an asshole to strangers over the phone. That is just naive. All your doing is imagining what happened and insulting me based on your false interpretations. And if you're going to try and call me a bad person, bitch, or other variety without even really knowing me, don't expect me to not say something back.

    6. Come ride with me.

I only called the guy being rude a dick. I merely said that their slow staff is another fault in their customer service, which has nothing to do with being rude to me personally.

My description was simplified. I would have recalled it better, but shortly after the conversation I had to go do volunteer work for children, and when I came home I created the post.

I was polite. And I was trying to clarify some of the confusion about what exactly cost $80.

I'm always nice to customer service representatives. Unless they take my money without providing the service I paid for, then I get pretty pissed. If you want an example of that I can PM a story to you.

Wow...you come online and bash a shop with a lame justification, the owner of the shop personally apologizes, and you rant about how you are misunderstood/sarcastic? Classy.

303Cycle did the exact same thing... They even had the same $42 price list on their site. They also confirmed the exact number of pads for the price (which was also $80) without asking me if I knew what a caliper was. And they even offered their in-stock brand too.

Point is, it was not the method/approach of customer service that generated this complaint, it was the employee (your son) being rude to me when I was only trying to get information. I live in Boulder so I don't want to go down there without confirming everything first. I've called previously many times and never had this happen, so no I'm not the source of the problem.

That wasn't a response to the shop, that was for the people who thought I was the one being the dick. See above post Sean...
