Its not how fast you go, its how little you slow down.
Dude i gotta leave my place at 0530 and ride for two and a half hours just to get to the meet point. Im gonna have to look the zx6r over really well for this one. I cant say im too stoked about riding 2 hours by my lonesome just to get to the meetpoint.
Meet up with Bornfree. Buena vista is just the middle spot for Denver and soco groups. Alternatively you could come down the night before and stay with us. Or Rabea if you don't mind kitty company
I can't come(sad face), I haven't been able to go on any rides. I was in the hospital 2 weeks ago for a week. Blood clots in my leg, both lungs. Dr. says no way to any riding for awhile. Need lung capacity I dont have, and, my legs can't stay in that position for that long, plus being on blood thinners.... I'll have alot of making up to do next year.

Unfortunately, I will not be making this trip. Have fun and ride safe!

Hmm. I'm a weak 'maybe', pending bike and a bunch of other stuff...but...maybe...
Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.

Oh you guys are killing me here!
Right now it's looking like me, Cornfed and possibly Ghost.
Ye sorry man the tire situation is not doing me any favors. If i can pull something out of my ass i will let you know!
If we hadn't just done THIS ONE I'd be down, but I don't have the money for another over nighter so soon.
** RESCHEDULED **
I was just informed that I'm already booked for this Sunday 9/11. I'm sorry, I completely forgot about it.
I think it was just going to be Cornfed and me. Depending on the weather I'm looking at the following weekend as an option (Sept 17/1. My only concern is its getting pretty cold in the early mornings and this trip calls for leaving at 6am and riding at elevation.
It is chilly out there early in the morning. At 7am in Ouray it was high 30's (maybe 40) but warmed up pretty quick when the sun came up. It just takes a little while for the sun to peak over the mtns. Since you are staying in Durango and heading north, get on 550 as early as you can to beat traffic. Not that's it's trafficy at all, it's just much nicer to ride when no one is around.
