    Hein Gericke?

My roommate picked up a Hein Gericke jacket today from a coworker. It looks and feels kind of old. He said its never been crashed in. However, compared to my Joe Rocket Atomic 4.0, it seems much less sturdy. It has foam padding in the same areas, but its much less dense. And I dont think the shell is ballistic nylon, it seems thinner and softer. Does anyone have experience with this manufacturer? I looked up their website, but they dont have a US site, only European. Its better than nothing, but Id rather he not settle for a free jacket that doesnt offer much protection.

I have had two suits made by Hein Gericke, and they are incredible. I went down two times with the first one, and it is still running strong. The only reason I got a new one was that the first one was over 10 years old, and it really stinks (smells).

http://www.fc-moto.de used to carry HG, and they're prices were usually pretty good (no VAT), I got my Knox and Sidi and Corner gear from them.

Ninja2 currently rides in a 2-piece Hein Gericke. Not only does it look really good, but the whole thing seems to be constructed well.

She also used to own an older HG jacket that I'm currently borrowing (not for me), which should say a lot because I'm trusting it enough to protect my own mom.

I have their ballistic nylon riding pants (with velcro for knee pucks) that I bought 9 years ago. Went down in em twice and they held up remarkably well.

I like HG - prob one of the more original makers of motorcycle leathers. Company was sold to a UK company, and it was mismanaged for a while. I still like their leathers, esp since they design leathers specifically for women. I would like to try Berick/MotoGP next time. Esp if you order from FC Moto online.

Those gloves would be perfect for Dave. They'd match his helmet...
