My wife's been wanting to get out for a ride as well. Considering a two up site seeing pace I we may join you. Only she has a chrome VTwin.

It's labor day weekend, you know how jammed it's going to be?

Mt. Evans is a fun ride. I'm a maybe.

Ghost has a good a point (labor day) all though I think Sunday is your best bet. Lots of traffic going out of town on Friday/Saturday and then coming back on Monday.

Im probably down as well, a friend of mine has been talking about riding to Evans for awhile, and I might go 2-up as well. All depends on whether my bike is back from the shop by then. If not, I may just go pick it up anyway lol!

Squaw Pass has a bunch of gravel at the bottom for 3 or so miles. Then the new pavement hits and its fine until you get to Echo Lake. There is also construction going on up top near the glacier lake that has the road torn up and loose in spots. Just be careful by the lake. On a dual sport it is a blast!!

I think by process of elimination they'll eventually find/fix it.

That or I'll have a new bike one piece at a time...

Have you asked them if they will rent a bike out to you? when i got my fusion there was an issue with the traction control so i called the dealer and they said go ahead and bring it in. I said so your getting me a rental car in replacement until my fusion is fixed right? he said if hats what you would like then yes!

No one rents bikes, shop insurance wouldn't cover it and 303 quit like last year or year before.

Some places might still rent a Harley but I'd rather ride a lawnmower....

Even if you did ride a lawnmower you still wouldn't show up to my ride

    Lol, someday...maybe.

This weekend isn't even one of your 4am KSU ones...

If you come to Chicane I'll at least be there to spectate and pit monkey. We could race lawnmowers around the pits...

Have fun and take a sweater!!!! Also...you don't have to pay the 3 bucks...it's a public/state owned road or something like that....

Its free if you don't stop and $3 (for motorcycles) if you do.

John K and I went up there a few weeks back and the ranger in the booth explained it as "you need to keep your wheels rolling or you'll get a ticket" -- I'll admit though we did stop for a super quick photo at the summit.

Spent a year and 13000 miles on an 08 Softtail Nighttrain. Did Sturgis, seen the naked chicks, did the bar hops, even a couple of burn out contest. Got to agree Ghost. I tried it, had a good time but Id rather ride next to you in a lawnmower, a really fast lawn mower though!!

HD, under developed and over priced!

Lol, we'll see what kind of Tim the Toolman monster we can make.

I had to ride an HD once, briefly, and that was more than enough. If you want a cruiser, the Japanese ones are much nicer.
