And are up for the "totally unhealthy" (really, it's not diet friendly), check out http://www.craverealburgers.com/ in Castle Rock. Recommended to my by a co worker, and it was definitely a good experience, and probably one of the best burgers I've had (puts places like Red Robin to shame).

I had a Cali Whopper a couple weeks ago, but I sub'd out the swiss for cheddar. It was good, but nothing I've been craving, since. YMMV.
I'll have to check out this Crave place. Looks a little "out there" for something simple like cheeseburgers, but it doesn't mean I won't like it. Some of the menu items actually sound really damn good!
For my money, the reliable places are Smashburger (simple, fresh, tasty ingredients and filling!)
And Freddy's (They make a burger that tastes like an In-n-Out Double Double!)
Larkburger in the DTC makes a gooder, but it's too expensive for how small it is.

I tried Five Guys once, and I wasn't impressed. It seemed like the bread that the burgers got served on, was getting old (crumbly). People do seem to like it though, so maybe I'll give it another try one of these day. Problem is though, it's in the same shopping center as Freddy's.

Smash, on the other hand, had been mostly lackluster, with kinda tasteless burgers. At least the Arapahoe one by Fay.

all those places to me are not worth the money. I tried smash burger . Yes it was good , but when we got the bill it was over 20 bucks...I turned to my wife...it aint that good....
