It was a fantastic ride for me. Worked out some minor jitters early on and enjoyed the heck out of the rest of the day. The S3 is proving to be more fun than the SV was.

So long story short, I didnt say anything, cop hung himself with his lies at court... My friend and I went for a ride so he was sitting in the same entrance as this morning and well in that first turn your visual fools you so it looked like we were side by side but my friend started accelerating and the cop supposedly clocked us both doing 50 in a 25. As we went by him he had a cup of coffee in his hand and the newspaper so who knows if he even clocked at all. I was doing 35 the most but when we got pulled over he wrote us both for the same thing which is bullshit as all I did was pullover with my friend out of courtesy... Went to court and he completely changed his story and about 5 minutes into it the judge tells him to stop lying and dismisses the case.

Wow you scored an amazing judge! With traffic cases, due to general preponderance of the evidence (since there are almost never witnesses in traffic infraction cases, the cop's word is usually golden) 95% of the time, whatever the cop says is what the judge rules on. You should've bought a lottery ticket that day lol!

Yeah, that's my experience with it, gonna try to talk to the DA and ask for a higher fine in exchange for a two point non moving violation instead of the automatic 4 point moving violation plea bargain they give.

Thats still bullshit, so if the cop says I was doing 160 through there its automatically true? And love it how the law protects their bullshit by oh they dont have to show you a clocking if the driver asks you... Absolute bullshit, yes I know I've said the word few times now but it irks the hell out of me how corrupt cops can be... Hope they burn in hell for their dishonesty one day, pieces of shit. this actually reminds me of how I tricked a state trooper once!


I was headed down 119 to go to Estes and I came up on a state trooper that was moving so I cruised behind him for a little bit then flashed my high beams at him and signaled him to pull over.

After he pulls over I get behind him and stay on my bike he hops out and walks over to me.

Me "Excuse epme can you tell me how fast you were going?"
Cop " I had my cruise control set at about 45 why do you ask?"
me " I think my speedo is off a little and it sId I was doing 55 bu I knew that wasn't right"
Cop "yea no I wasn't going that fast"
Me " hmm that's weird ok well thanks for letting me know!"
Cop " your gonna keep it at 45 right?"
Me "oh yea of course!!! thanks again"

Now as soon as he starts walking back to his car I figure he won't pull out until I start going so I wait and wait and wait and hazzaaa here comes a car I pull out in front of the car (giving us plenty of room of course) and now I have the car to block the super troopers view so as soon as we hit the next turn I take off with no state trooper in front of me any more!!!

You know, I was wondering what happened to you guys. Everyone took off except for me and that guy from the Czechoslovakia that tagged along in Lyons. We were under the impression some people from the group would be coming back with Doug's mom (the truck).

After around 3 hours of waiting we decided there was never a link up with her and you guys weren't coming back. I rode to Nederlands and found her and then rode back to the crash site to load the bike into the back of the truck. We finally got out of there at 5PM.

What was supposed to be waiting for 1 hour turned into 4 hours. I LOVE riding home through unfamiliar mountain roads when the sun is going down and I had already been out since 7:30AM. By then I was starving and exhausted. I ended up getting home almost exactly 12 hours after I left this morning. Thanks guys!!

I think I'm done with random large group CSC rides. There's always at least 1 riding past his limits trying to run with the big boys. This shit always happens every time and I'm too much of a nice guy to just leave them there. (Hell, my wife and I once got tickets when we stopped to help a complete stranger. Rather the cops gave everyone in that squid group a non-moving ticket and assumed we were with them. We just happened to be riding by and stopped to help).

I'm going to stick with riding with my CSC super friends. We ride at a safe but very fun pace and don't crash.
