    This is the first I've heard of this...thanks for posting! You can't really count them out...but I think its unlikely they'll be winning much next year. But, if anyone can make it work, its Rossi and Burgess.

    I have a couple of bikes, they are fun.

    Re: (IT'S OFFICIAL) Ducati Goes to Aluminum Frame!

    motogpod has a very interesting interview with Nicky Hayden this week. You can tell that he's frustrated. One comment (and I'm paraphrasing) was that Ducati seems to be changing things so fast, they don't know what effect the new parts are having before trying something else.

    It almost feels like Ducati's in a tail spin trying to build a bike that fits Rossi. Which relates back to previous discussions about whether or not it's good to build a bike for a specific rider, or get a rider that can compete on the machine with minor tweaks.

    I don't know anymore.
    Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...
    Retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting!
    Waiting will only leaves us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

    Re: (IT'S OFFICIAL) Ducati Goes to Aluminum Frame!

    I found this quote interesting:

    "We are lucky that Ducati can, with Valentino Rossi, have the liberty to try so many things - Preziosi told GPone.com - this is important for an engineer, but it's also important for Ducati, as they can obtain important know-how to use for the future. We are all working hard because we know that once our bike performs well for Valentino, it will be good for the other riders too."

    In reference to the nicky quote, I think when you have guys like Valentino and Jerry at the helm they can gather data and make changes very quickly because of the vast amount of experience involved. Nicky may not have full visibility of this, or fully understand how the dynamic is working as he's one development cycle behind.

    And Nicky had the negative experience at Honda when they developed the RC212 around 5'2" Danny Pedrosa.

    Pedrosa = "Mr. Teamwork"

    Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.

    Yeah, but, much as I like Nicky, Pedrosa's always been and always will be faster (to say nothing of how much more successful Rossi is). It was good luck that won Nicky the title, it's been bad luck that's kept Pedrosa from winning one on the MotoGP bikes (he already has 2 for Honda in the 250's if I remember right). Plus, what's the nationality of the main sponsor for Honda, and has been for years?
