    Front Brake Problem

Looks like the culprit in my crash was my front brakes. Just dropped the bike off at a friends to store until we get through moving and noticed immediately that the front brake handle was rock solid. No free play and no give. That's what it felt like when I crashed. Haven't thrown it on the front stand yet to see if the wheel freely spins but I doubt it does. Have not changed pads since PPIR and I bled them at that time. Raced all 3 races at PPIR and STO yesterday before this happened. BTW... Brake reservoir is 1/2 way between min and max full.

Any ideas before I tear in to it?

    Re: Front Brake Problem

Mike you saw me before AmGTO I was having the same problem, I changed the fluid but they were still dragging, I cut the safety wire loose and made a real loose loop and that seemed to fix the problem. I thought I had left enough slack in my loop to prevent the brakes from dragging, but I hadn't. I remember you were wiring yours tight to put a "bind" on your pins

Sounds like the fluid isn't returning (i.e. caliper pistons are not going back in). Definitely take off anything you changed and see what happens, could be that something is just bound up in there. It may not be a bad idea to rebuild your calipers either if that doesn't fix anything. I had to do that on my GSXR, the piston seal kits are not too expensive and it's easy to do (just keep everything clean and follow the shop manual!).

Pretty sure he does... Out of curiosity, where were you going with that question?
