Balance...is that like having a beer in each hand?
Nate- is that you in the jpg? Looking good!
I know what you're saying, and I totally agree. But I knew I wouldn't go back to lifting 5 days a week, so there was no way I was going to consume the same amount of food. And the endurance science is totally different, so I'm not surprised that I lost all the muscle, just surprised at how fast.
No way, I don't have grey hair yet! Knock on wood, but one of the few 34 years olds I know tht has never got a grey hair. Could be all the protein I take in Serious though protein is what hair is made of and my barber freaks out how fast my hair (and even nails) grow. Pretty sure it is the massive amounts of protein I take in....
Well my point was more that if you kept up your protein you could keep that muscle you worked hard for and still have the cardio/stamina. Muscle only becomes a big issue when you get really big and it starts to take a lot of oxygen out your blood to support them. Some muscle mass should be fine and not hinder endurance and may actually help. Just trying to help homey so don't take me wrong. Either way I am proud you have stuck to this and become healthier than you were

Here you go Nate... http://www.flexonline.com/nutrition/...ing-strategies
Thanks man, I will use these tricks for sure
Gaining right now, but in a few weeks I'll lean out the mass I have gained. I am shooting for 10 more pnds before I do it though. Eating all the time; although I see a impact on my midsection. All good I will get it back and hopefully keep a few pounds of solid muscle.

big ups to the local guy for wining for sure!
Sorry dude, I think that's just kind of gross. I don't get it. I respect the hell out of their determination, dedication and trying to perfect their craft, but it's not for me.
I'm still exercising. I was training pretty hard for a triathlon that was coming up, but instead of racing it, I'm going to work it. I need the cash more then I do a race. But I'm feeling good swimming, good riding and not bad on the run. I've been doing a ton of mountain biking! I live in a great place for riding!
Yeah not for everyone, but much respect due....
He did win $250,000 prize ! Not to mention these guys make more off of sponsors anyways....

Started my new job on Monday which is 6 minutes from my house, went to the gym this morning and found out my gym is 8 minutes from my new office how freaking sweet it that! Now I can always get my morning workout in and never have to worry about traffic or weather if ill be able to lift and go to work.
Nice That really does make a difference. I use to drive from my house about 20 minutes (in good weather and no traffic) to get to my gym. Then one opened by my house 3 minutes away and that is when I went from 3 days a week to 5 days a week. Plus if I am bored I can go throw a quick workout.
What gym you go to now? Wish I could do mornings, but I already wake up too early for work as it is.
I am still in my gaining phase.....up 10 pounds since I leaned out when I went on vacation a couple months back. Plan is to just keep gaining since it is winter anyways. Then come spring lean out again and hope I kept at least 10lbs of muscle.

Still go to the 24 hour off of lincoln and oswego.
Oh ok, thought it was a different gym...my bad.
EDIT: Looked up location and seem close to where I work; Lucent and C470. I know I have asked before, but if you ever want to meet up on a afternoon or weekend I'd be down to meet you there. Or we could always meet about halfway at C470 and Broadway location (ya know it is a long shot since I asked before many times. hahaha).
So I usually see you on the board pretty early. What time you waking up to get your workout before work? I get to work early and skip lunch just so I can beat some of the rush too and get to the gym, but damn never been able to wake up that early to do it before work. Much props on that....
They say you burn more calories in the morning, but not sure how true that is.

My new job hours are 8am to 5pm so this morning i got to the gym at about 6:30 and worked out until 7:30 got changed and headed to the office. It will be very rare that i workout after work now that i get out at 5 as opposed to 4 where i used to work, since my wife leaves for work at 8pm. just let me know man if you have time to come to the one by me in the morning we can make it happen.
This thread isn't dying!
It's getting to be winter and we all probably need some exercise motivation. Otherwise I'll balloon up during the holiday's/winter. Personally I've been doing a lot of mountain biking and really enjoying it. Since there is a lot less sun these days, today was my first day back in the weight room. I didn't love it, but it was a way to sweat. I'm still trying to get the new house in order so I can get a good place to jump back into the Insanity workouts a little.
Does anybody know of a more natural protein powder. I was going to order another tub of the Dynamatize Elite, butt the wife asked if I could research more natural alternatives. So instead of just ignoring her (like I usually do), I figured I'd ask here. She's all into "Real Foods" type shit.
Anything you buy at Whole Foods is guaranteed to be hippie certified, if that helps.
Otherwise, I recently purchased some of the "Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard" from GNC. Seems fine and had good reviews.

Yeah, I do the GNC membership so I get 20% off anyway. Combined with their other package deals, etc it saves a lot of coin.
