Re: CSC Track day at SCR

I'm interested. As a noob, I like the idea of being on the track with friends. I tend to get spooked when the fast riders blow by me in a corner. I'm not interested in racing, just looking to improve my riding skills, so if it turns in to an event for those serious about racing, I would probably be out. I dont wanna drop $125 and a day off from work to feel like I am in the way.

Just to do some math, at $1900 to rent the track (and assuming NO other expenses, which isn't figuring in the instructors' T&M) you'd need 38 students at $50 per. That seems like a lot of people. Also, you're basically asking for free instruction with your tracktime - pretty bold bro! $100-125 is quite cheap for a full day of instruction.

So you're saying we're not good enough for you?

We would be splitting up people by skill level, if that's what you're asking.
I just want to be sure there would be one group that would be concentrating on more advanced techniques since the majority sounds like it would be basic track riding with possible licenseing related instruction. I am sure it would probably be a good idea that this group would be split off as to not spook the newer riders.

No worries on that. With more than one instructor, we will be able to split up the groups based on skill level and what they are looking to get out of the class (general info, track etiquette, strategy, passing, starts, lines, bike set up, being passed etc).

I'm not as fast as Hoopty or Gene, but I've shown a few people some lines, given them some advice, and helped them go faster and have a good time. I'd be willing to contribute my services towards this, depending when it's scheduled for (if I'm in town).
It's starting to look like a 4 Horsemen Racing Track School!

Even if you had the track all to yourself for a day, you wouldn't be able to, nor would you want to, be on the track the entire time.

The group would be split by level, and possibly later by intent (for those who want to ge their MRA license). 3 groups (slow; medium; fast) would probably work well, with 20 minute sessions each, would give you plenty of track time!

Oops! Looks like I'm a little slow on the replies today!

I guess that's what happens when I actually do some work for a change.

Just to let everyone know I will work for BBQ and Beer.... Oh and free track time.

I can give a short or long MRA type school. Though it will not get you an MRA license you will be damn good and prepaired for one. Maybe we could get Mark Schellinger to come out and do a complete MRA school. Someone should contact him and bounce the idea off of him.

I'd possibly be interested, depends on the day. And I guess I'm thinking kind of like Bueller, I mean are you guys planning on doing like the race school where you have a small group with an instructor all day or part of the day with free time? more details of the days plans would be cool.
