Yeah from what Ive seen and read, the Italian police mishandled a metric fuckload of evidence. And the (weak) evidence against Knox was pretty sketchy. Prints on the handle of a kitchen knife in her boyfriend's apartment, and "bloody" footprints in Kercher's bedroom that "probably" match Knox's. Too many assumptions imho. Let alone the dodgy interrogation process. As an ex-LEO myself, I say if they wanted a conviction, they should've done their jobs better. You cant treat crime scene investigation like pin the tail on the donkey.
This is the same country that has scientist on trial for not predicting an earth quake.

She may or may not have been a murderer--she definitely was far from innocent.
The only people who thought she was guilty were the police and the prosecutors. They sure did a hell of a job increasing revenue in that town for 4 years though didn't they? Media and tourists galore.
