So this is more of a feeler since its only 1.5 days notice, but since the weekend is generally a bust according to 80% of people's standards for riding, I thought maybe if I headed south, Sunday might be salvageable. Weather reports I've been looking at suggest that most of this winter storm coming tonight is going to be concentrated north of Fairplay all the way to the north border. Still going to be a bit of a chilly ride but the forecast between Pueblo and Salida is between 55 and 60 with 10-20% chance of rain but otherwise mostly sunny! I'm planning to take the GoPro out and take a nice, chill ride through the area, stopping alot to shoot some photos. The pace will be slow, no plans to carve up the roads, Im more intent on getting some good photos and video of the scenery and enjoying a totally new route down south. So before I set a meeting place and time, let's see who might be down to join in. Bear in mind, it will probably be cold enough at some point to need liners and maybe an extra layer depending on your tolerance for chill.
Feedback regarding why this trip would be a bad idea is fine, but I'm probably going to do this no matter what. Mother Nature isnt putting up a strong enough fight to make me give up the entire weekend yet.
