A video like this helped me out. If you have not done this and need a hand let me know.
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith and use up a lot of fuel.
A good rider has balance, judgment, and good timing. So does a good lover.

Haven't been on 666 in a while, have they fixed the road? It was shit-nasty with breaks and tar snakes last time I was on it...

I haven't been since 2008. I don't remember any problems with the road at that time.

This was probably 2004/5 so maybe they fixed it--or it's due for repaving right about now.

I'll hope so. If nothing else its a nice scenic ride. My previous visit I was kind of scared shitless of the Devil so I took it really slow. Still had fun!

Re: Who can do a 3 day ride?

Extremely tempting, but I have to work that Sunday night (8 hours on my feet and paying attention to what I'm doing...).
If you did it the 26th to the 28th I'd definitely be in, but I understand why most people can't do that.

    It's still on!

It's possible I'll move the date up with all of the super nice weather we're enjoying!

Re: Who can do a 3 day ride?

Please please please DO NOT move the date up. If you do, I won't be able to make it as all my weekends in April are booked except that one.

Hmmm... the end of April you say? I'm definitely interested, and might even be able to make it.

Re: Who can do a 3 day ride?

Anyone else bringing sumo or DS? Would a WR250X be possible on this ride (gas tank goes to 130 miles not 150 before dry, etc) ? I think I'd be hurting on the zx6r after 1700 miles!
Doc, riding IS my physical therapy.

Re: Who can do a 3 day ride?

Yeah I am in I would like to hit this ride. On my map it is called the coronado trail. I posted a ride to coronado trail that is a similar route. What about adding a day to the trip? That would take alot of preasure off the schedule and make the whole trip more chill, just a suggestion. I have been trying to get to this for years. There are such great routes to pick from to depart colorado. I have thought trailering to Gallup would be cool from the standpoint of not carrying bags on the coronado loop and having some tools and such.

Re: Who can do a 3 day ride?

You can ride whatever you prefer but you may want to bring some extra fuel (if nothing else a power aid bottle with fuel can probably do the trick).

There were 2 spots that I nearly ran out of fuel on my R1 which got similar mileage.

Re: Who can do a 3 day ride?

It's possible but an extra day means an extra vacation day from work and additional expenses for food/hotel.
