A free cd does not a hip hop artist make. I like some hip hop but am not hard core by any means. My friends that are into it are pretty ashamed of the shit that gets lumped in with it these days, Ludacris included.

You are crazy man, Ludacris has been in the rap (hip-hop) game for over 12 years and has been a pioneer of hip hop. I am disgusted at some rap too, but no way would I consider Ludacris as one of these. He has rapped with Notorious Big, Wu-Tang, A Tribe Called Quest, and other old school rappers along with almost all the big named rappers nowadays.

And by no means have free CD's made Ludacris! His albums have went multi platinum way before the digital age of downloading was here.

From what I've learned along the way, real hip hop music isn't about how much ass, money, cars, gold, diamonds, bling,etc. the person has. I can't say that ludacris' music fits the bill. I haven't paid for music in forever.
