FWIW, I'd get one of the Dynacorn bodies and build an entirely "new" "classic".
Old/awesome looks, fully modern internals--even the new Boss 302 engine can be bought as a Ford crate motor now. Add some Brembos, Recaros, 6mt, and have a 2800lb monster (with IRS if you want!).
