    Very Fast SV1000

I had no idea the SV1000 could go balls out at 190! This must be one sweet SV...

    Re: Very Fast SV1000

The statement "this bike was known as "the wheelie machine" is what makes me laugh. If he did any research he would know the SV has been known to blow engines when in a wheelie since the V-twin engine does not get proper oil when in that position.

Hoopty blew about 3 SV engines this way!

I'd put $5 on it that bike is Canadian and is showing km/h on the speedo. $14k new could only be in Canadian money.

Wow...I learn something new everyday. Here I thought the SV struggled to keep up with today's 600s, and was done way prior to 160.

    Re: Very Fast SV1000

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH *wipes away tear* 190?!? My ZX10 only does 172 at sea level stock. I just don't see the SV1000 doing anything faster than that without heavy mods. And yes, the vtwins don't make good wheelie bikes because the engines don't get enough oil.

For the record, top speed is 146mph at 7,500ft altitude on a stock(ish) SV1000s.
