    Hey clovis! I really like that second one! Already lowered nice pretty bike! I have also have been eyeballing this one.. thinking about taking that jump up... still looking but Just might grab a Ninja 650 I sat on one finally and it felt nice will have to be lowered and seat shaved but oh well.

    the 650r is the same bike I have but with full fairings. I love it and think it would make a great learner bike. Its what my wife has as well and she just learned to ride last year. Very forgiving, smooth power delivery.

    I love it!! Now I have heard it is more upright but you can hug the tank to get lower right?? like if wind and stuff on a freeway get bad?

    These bikes like the SV's don't get a lot of upgrades from year to year so they all are about the same except for graphics and paint schemes.
    All of the 650r's are FI, the SV's went to FI in '03

    they changed things in '09 and again in the brand new '12. try and get an 09 or newer. But if you find one for a great price that is older i woudn't pass on it. They are all pretty indestructable. As for the riding position you can get lower sport bars that will bring you farther down into a more "sportbike" riding position.

    I am looking at a 2008 thats the one I really like, Waiting on a call back and My butt will be in wyoming! Theres also a 2007 for about 700 cheaper but I dunno I saw this bike and got all googlie eyed and weird lol.. So not realll sure about the lime green but I can make it work! So should I just have the person meet me at a motorcycle shop to inspect it or will that be a slap in the face?

    There's no real change in the 650R until you get to the 2009-2012 model.

    Thank you both, I just read both of them and Very very good info! I dont think I will be the one doing test ride but ohwell. Kinda sounds like the SV650 has more umph to it,but the ninja is smoother I guess.
