Another "Happy Birthday David" trailer: (sorry if repost, it looked different than the other David trailer)

Oh yeah, I'm not saying it was cool, I hated that thing. Even 70's Star Trek ships were cooler looking than the SG1 Battleship. One of my complaints about Firefly, Serenity looked like a robot goose, lol.

I think it was supposed to look like a horse to fit the western scifi theme.
But, I agree, I mostly looked like shit.
I love the sleek NCC-1701 "Refit" that was in the Movies, but then we have to skip to the NCC-1701-E to find my other favorite.
The 'D' always looked proportionally retarded, and I hated the "flying shoe" of Voyager.
One of my favorites ships of all time is from Aliens--the Marine Dropship/Gunship...just like the A-10 it was so ugly it was instantly awesome.
And, of course, I loved basically every ship in the Classic Star Wars trilogy.
Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.

my favorite as well
I remember building lego replicas of the Cheyenne drop ship
Now, for your uber geeks, there's a new Aliens game coming out where you, as a colonial marine, reboard the Sulaco to find out what happened after it's mission to LV-426. Game actually looks pretty cool

Aliens Colonial Marines?

Delayed, again...now Fall 2012.

Back in 1994 my friend had an old (ancient) Atari Jaguar and a "big screen" TV with "surround sound" back in the day, and we'd play AvP, and since it had no music and nothing but the creepy sounds of skittering and buzzing lights and broken fans it would get on your nerves--and then a face hugger would leap onto your face (in first person) or you'd hear a Predator whisper and you'd shit yourself.
OR, you could play as the Alien (Xeno) or a Predator...it was very cool for its day, still cool, and it was a FPS way before COD/BF or even GoldenEye
I loved that game.
Except for crawling through the goddamn air vents...

A robot horsehead, never thought of that, but fitting. Aliens definitely was ground-breaking, that dropship was badass. The onboard armored transport was sick too:
Favorite Classic-SW ships: Vader's Tie, X-Wing, Tie Interceptor, Imperial Shuttle, Star Destroyer, & Millenium Falcon of course. The only ship I liked from the new SW was Amidala's chrome SR71-looking transport. The rest sucked, imo.

As for the Star Wars fleet... there's only one... and that's Slave 1

That APC was awesome--and only like a 3' model in real life.
I'd play it--if my aging system can run it and if it ever comes out before I die of old age...
I got:
for this past Xmas.
Combines the best of all worlds--(classic) Star Wars, Boba Fett, Slave I and Legos.
And the "9-14" age limit on the box can go fuck itself.

This is the baddest ship around.

Elegant designs. The other end of the spectrum from military style or the common "gray battleship model parts" style:
